Hip-Hop Legends: Eric B. & Rakim

February 20, 2008

Eric B. & RakimYou scream I’m lazy, you must be crazy. Thought I was a donut, you tried to glaze me…

If you don’t know Eric B. & Rakim, you don’t know hip-hop. Period.

The dynamic duo released Paid in Full in 1987, yet the album is even more original and refreshing when you listen to it 20+ years later.

If it wasn’t for Eric B. & Rakim, who knows where hip-hop would be today.

Check out these 8 songs from the 80’s to hear some music that was way ahead of it’s time…

I Ain’t No Joke

I Know You Got Soul

Move the Crowd

Paid in Full

Eric B. is President

Follow the Leader

Maybe Rakim is the greatest MC of all time.

Yeah, BDP definitely deserves a feature at some point. Have you listened to the music player on the right Daniel? One of my friends just called me out for not having enough hip-hop, so I just added a bunch of tunes. I think there’s some nice variety in there now, but lemme know what you think.
