I'm a journalist for a living so I have a certain set of standards I have before writing anything. You know, facts, those annoying things that seemed to be skipped over here. There's no cited sources anywhere except for what he read off the back of the card.

First off, roller skating was not in the 1988 Olympics. No roller sport – quad or inline – has ever been in the Olympics, especially pairs skating.

Second, how could Dante's career be over because of rollerblades when he won the 1996 X-Games gold medal for inline downhill? Check his number of world records.

Here's a good idea if you're going to write a column about someone — call them. Muse is still in Des Moines and skating — on rollerblades! Oh the shock and horror!
