Classic Cards – Garbage Pail Kids
May 29, 2008 by Evil E
I just dug up these classic cards. Are there any other 80’s kids out there?
Garbage Pail Kids originated in 1985 as an evil answer to Cabbage Patch Kids.
These may have been some of the first cards that I ever collected!
They were produced by the Topps Company, and unlike most Topps cards from the 80’s, are actually worth something.

I’m pretty bummed. They came out with Eerie Eric, but they gave Evil to Eddie. Of course, the Eerie one looks a lot more Evil if you ask me…

2 unopened boxes (Series 1 & Series 2) went for $1500 on eBay. Packs originally sold for .25 cents each for 5 cards & a stick of gum. Now the Series 1 cards are worth $3 each w/ heavy premiums for mint cards I imagine. Hopefully I’ll dig up some more.
The Clogged Duane one makes me smile every time

I have a whole collection of the originals from ‘85 that I no longer want. Love them, but trouble lugging them around with me everywhere I go for work.
