yeah he did get better and better. he was never a beast on the boards but he was pretty good on the block. he had postgame. I remember one game it was Lakers vs. the Knicks and he was killing it. I think he had 37 points..he was hitting everything. He stepped behind the line and drilled a 3. Me and my homie Shaun were going crazy. I think we were 15 years old...of course at the end of OT he got the ball on the block and it slipped out of his hands and the Lakers lost. But that was crazy.

BINGO!
http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/w/wilsotr01.html

He only played 5 games for the Lakers, but averaging 18 and 9 his last 2 years at UCLA isn't bad at all.

Is #9 Trevor Wilson? It can't be. Trevor has darker skin tone than shown on the card.

Jonny,

I remember Stu saying that. So I looked it up some time ago. And its false by small percentage points.

The first 3 seasons held true. Then its not an accurate statement. Although Elden did play better ball.

I liked Elden. Did you guys know that he played with BOTH Horace Grant and Dale Davis at Clemson? Ho graduated the year before Davis got there, but Elden played with both. Those guys must have dominated the paint in college.

thats funny how you talk about Elden. Every year for his first 7 years Stu would point out how Elden had scored more than the season before...there was one other thing that kept going up, maybe his fg%

He was good. A giant PF. I thought he and Shaq were gonna make an awesome combo but it never worked out. He played great when Shaq was injured which was often but he never excelled playing next to him.

Too bad.

Sedale Threat was a solid solid pg. Glue guy leader for the post Showtime Lakers. Skinny dude with game. Sedale, John Stockton and Mark Price are probably the last 3 dudes who looked appropriate in short shorts.

James Edwards and Sam Bowie sucked. Edwards was slightly better. Basically twin decrepit towers. No talent and less mobility.

Sam Bowie is getting blocked in his photo. Lol.

My favorite new age Laker was Elden Campbell. Big man. Small hands. His post game slooooowly came around. But his number and skills improved every year when he first entered the league. Hated to see him leave

Peeler was a chucker. Sweet left handed chucker.

Doug Christie. Was the Laker I wanted kicked off the team. How people want Brian Cook and Luke sent away. I really didn't like his face.
